Welcome to the Koh Lab!
We can't live without sleep and most of us sleep at night, but why we sleep and how sleep is regulated are not well understood. Growing evidence suggests a close relationship between sleep/circadian rhythms and neurodegeneration. Our lab investigates the molecular and neural mechanisms of sleep, circadian rhythms, and neurodegeneration using the fruit fly, Drosophila melanogaster, as a model system.
